Allentown, Pa - Sporting a prime location in the heart of Pennsylvania's third-largest city with convenient access to multiple interstates, highways and main roads across the Lehigh Valley, America On Wheels (AOW) makes an ideal destination for vacationers, day-trippers and other visitors to the region.

Easily accessible to a half-dozen other renowned cultural institutions in Allentown, AOW celebrates our nation's love affair with motorized and non-motorized over-the-road transportation and its permanent exhibits range from the Nadig - one of America's first automobiles, produced in Allentown - to the massive Mack Trucks that helped America become the most powerful nation in the world.

The current changing exhibit, which is in place until late Fall 2009, is "The Bulgari Collection of Automotive Elegance," featuring more than a dozen classic pre-World War II American automobiles owned and restored by Italian jewelry magnate Nichola Bulgari. In addition, the museum now features one of the original Ford Mustang 'concept cars" - harkening back to the popular muscle car shepherded into production by Allentown native Lee Iacocca. "America On Wheels is a perfect destination for families and automobile enthusiasts of all ages," said Executive Director Linda Merkel. "We have something for everyone, from the class of the Bulgari collection that evokes the romance of a bygone day to the heavy-duty muscle of the big Macks."

In addition, visitors can obtain a "City Scenes" card at AOW and several other cultural institutions throughout downtown Allentown and receive discount admission and prices at museum gift shops.
